Galeon with engraving (handle with incrustation)
Description
A beautiful damascus steel knife with a "Galeon" blade, featuring a wave-shaped cutting edge that increases cutting aggression. One side of the blade is decorated with an engraved (true engraving, not laser etching) design. At the base of the blade, under the bolster, there is a finger groove. The blade looks great, but what truly sets this knife apart is the intricately decorated handle, using the inlay technique. This is a labor-intensive and highly skilled decorative technique highly valued in Russia and historically often found in high-end products from that region. In this model, duralumin was used for the inlay; in the most expensive knives, precious metals and stones were used. The inlay is applied to black hornbeam, both sides of the handle are finished with melchior castings.
