Fulltang (carved wooden handle)

A well-designed full-tang field knife with a walnut handle, manufactured by the renowned Zlatoust Rosoruzhye company in the Urals. The full-tang blade is made of 95x18 stainless steel, hardened to 56-58 HRC. Below the handle, on the cutting edge side, there is an arched, unsharpened finger choil. On the spine, there is jimping for use with a firestarter. The spine is straight with a full flat grind. One side of the blade is marked "Росоружие Златоуст" with the manufacturer's logo and the steel grade: 95x18. The handle scales are made of walnut with carved "fish scale" texture. It includes a lanyard hole for a cord or wrist strap. The smooth, black leather sheath is embossed with the manufacturer's logo and the name "Росоружие Златоуст". In my opinion, this is a successful knife of a reasonable size; if it's missing anything, it might be 1-1.5 millimeters of blade thickness.

The Zlatoust company is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. It prides itself on a centuries-old tradition in the field of edged weapon production.
