Fox-1 (leather handle, duralumin castings)
Description
A hunting knife manufactured by Zlatoust company, made of ЭИ-107 steel. This is stainless steel, its Polish equivalent is H10S2M steel. Hardness 55 HRC. The handle is made of leather rings strung on the tang, finished on both sides with duralumin fittings - a solid head and a small pommel. The blade has a partially concave grind. On one side of the blade the inscription: "Rosoruzhie Zlatoust" with the manufacturer's logo. Steel marking stamped at the base of the blade: ЭИ-107. At the end of the handle there is a hole allowing for the attachment of a lanyard or wrist loop. Leather sheath, black, with the manufacturer's logo and inscription Zlatoust.
Zlatoust company is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. It boasts a centuries-old tradition in the field of edged weapons production.
