Finka NKVD sailor (pattern welded damascus)
Description
A contemporary sailor styling of the legendary NKVD knife with a pattern welded damascus blade. I use the word "styling" because while other knives of this type from the Wilkodaw.pl offer can be called "replicas", in this case the term "styling" seems more appropriate. The NKVD Finka was a cult knife in the Red Army, existing in many varieties and modifications. But while such variants as the black knives of the Ural volunteer tank corps or the "cherry" scout knives actually existed, I have never met any mention of the NKVD finka for the navy. The currently produced clones of NKVD finkas with anchors on the heads are a stylization (it must be admitted that it is aesthetically quite successful) for the needs of the modern market. The blade is made of very aesthetic damascus, the white handle fittings combine nicely with the black wood of the handle (hornbeam). The ends of the cross guard, bent (as in the original) in the form of the letter S, resemble the claws of an anchor.
