Finka NKVD (gilding)
Description
Luxury replica of the famous Soviet knife from the Zlatoust company. Made of stainless steel 95x18 hardened to 57-58 HRC. One of the few knives with a military pedigree that can be said to be sensible and suitable for more than just stabbing. The blade is very compact and lightweight, despite metal fittings. The handle is made of black wood and ends with a pommel on one side and a brass crossguard on the other. Under the handle, on the blade is inscribed:ed Karelian birch (one of the most expensive types of stabilized wood) with a jute cord on one side and a duraluminium knob on the other side, contains a hole to hang the knife or attach a lanyard to the wrist. The blade has a simple ridge with a very small angle towards the blade tip. Under the handle, on the blade, a written inscription: "Златоуст Росоружие", manufacturers logo and marking of steel 95x18. On the other side of the blade is gilded emblem of soviet security services and the inscription НКВД. The leather sheath is black with embossed logo of the manufacturer and the inscriptioned Karelian birch (one of the most expensive types of stabilized wood) with a jute cord on one side and a duraluminium knob on the other side, contains a hole to hang the knife or attach a lanyard to the wrist. The blade has a simple ridge with a very small angle towards the blade tip. Under the handle, on the blade, a written inscription: "Златоуст Росоружие".
Zlatoust company is one of the few Russian knife manufacturers known widely beyond Russian borders. It has a few hundred years tradition in manufacturing of bladed weapons.
