Finka Leuku big (stabilized karelian birch handle)
Description
Leuku are traditional knives from the northern parts of Finland, Sweden and Norway. Like genuine Leuku knives from centuries ago, it is hand-forged from a package of corrosive carbon steels without alloying additions.
Handle made of stabilized Karelian birch – one of the more expensive types of stabilized wood. A selected piece of wood undergoes processing, the exact process of which is a secret of each manufacturer. As a result, the handles are given an unnatural color, emphasizing the unique grain pattern. In addition to their aesthetic value, these handles have the advantage of being completely non-absorbent.
Massive blade made of very high-quality damask steel, with a pattern weld. The spine of the blade is straight, without a drop at the end. Partially concave grind. Under the handle on the blade is engraved the manufacturer's monogram and the inscription: "ОКСКИЕ НОЖИ ДАМАССКАЯ СТАЛЬ".
