Description

A medium-sized knife from the renowned Dagestani company Kizlyar. Just a year ago, all variants of the Fin knives had classic slip-on leather sheaths. In 2024, Finnish ones appeared with ABS sheaths, compatible with Tek-lok mounts and Kizlyar sharpeners dedicated to such sheaths. The blackened (oxidized) blade has a full flat grind. Ribbed rubber handle with a hole for a lanyard or wrist loop at the end. At the base of the blade there is an inscription on one side: "Финский" and the manufacturer's logo, on the other "КИЗЛЯР Сделано в России" and the steel brand designation "Х12MF". The knife is identical in size to its cheaper versions except that instead of AUS-8 (57-58 HRC), H12MF steel (59-60 HRC) was used, the Western analogue of which is D2.

The Kizlyar company from Dagestan is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside Russia. Kizlyar boasts a combination of ancient traditions of Caucasian craftsmen specializing in the production of cold weapons and new production technologies.
