Falcon (layered damascus)
Description
A knife with a Falcon-type blade made of three packets of carbon steel forged together. The technology of connecting the packets, much more laborious and requiring true blacksmithing craftsmanship, in addition to the exceptional aesthetic qualities of the products created thanks to it, has a very utilitarian meaning. The point is that a softer steel is chosen for the part of the blade on the side of the tang, and a harder steel on the side of the blade. As a result, a blade with better cutting properties and greater flexibility can be obtained. The outer packets of Damascus steel are separated from each other by a strip of nickel-patterned steel. The knife has a beautiful handle made of stabilized wood and black acrylic, finished on both sides with melchior castings. The sheath is a Finnish-type, inserted leather sheath.
