Ermine (95x18 steel with gilding, leather handle)

A knife manufactured by the Zlatoust company, made from high-quality Russian stainless steel. The handle is composed of leather rings stacked on the tang, finished with a bolster on one end and a duralumin pommel on the other. The pommel features a hole for attaching a lanyard or wrist loop. The beautiful blade has a gently waving edge line with a high hollow grind. One side of the blade is adorned with an electroplated gold-gilded drawing. On the other side, below the handle, there is a gilded inscription made with the same method: "Росоружие Златоуст" and the manufacturer's logo. The smooth leather sheath has a silent snap closure. The belt loop is embossed with the inscription "Росоружие Златоуст" and the logo.

The Zlatoust company is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. It prides itself on a centuries-old tradition in the production of bladed weapons. The gilding, in which the Ural-based Zlatoust is the undisputed leader among Russian companies, looks exceptionally good on dark Damascus steel blades.
