Elk Ridge ER-119

A pocket knife with three blades in the style of Soviet military survival pocket knives. Old Soviet knives of this type always had two blades: a basic blade and a saw blade. The legendary Aviatsionnyj pocket knife for pilots was constructed according to this scheme. There were similar infantry knives, clones of which are still present on the civilian market in Russia.

Elk Ridge is a model line from Master Cutlery produced in China and, as is the case with Chinese products, everything depends on how much the customer, in this case Master Cutlery, wants to earn. In this case, the price-quality ratio is very good.

According to the manufacturer's declaration, the knife is made of 440 steel. The blade says "steel 440" without specifying which 440 it is, and in this case it should be assumed that it is 440A steel, i.e. its cheapest variant with the lowest carbon content. The knife has three blades: the main one with a bowie profile and a partial hollow grind, a saw, and a hook for cutting the abdominal wall of hunted game (or clothing as in rescue knives). All blades have back locks. Decent workmanship, no pale playa. Camouflage plastic handle covers.

The Elk Ridge logo is on the blade and the inscription "ER-119 Custom Design 440 Stainless Steel Handforged in China" is written on the other side.
