Eagle 2
Description
A field knife with a unique handle finished on both ends with massive melchior (cupronickel) castings. Purchased in Russia but manufactured in Uzbekistan. The blade is made of widely available 40X13 stainless steel with a low grind. The center of gravity is heavily shifted towards the handle, which is significantly weighed down by heavy melchior fittings—a bolster and a pommel shaped like the head of a bird of prey. The handle itself is crafted using a unique technique, where a pinecone is mounted onto the tang of the knife and then cast in resin. It comes with a leather sheath featuring a snap fastener. Compared to Russian sheaths, the leather is thinner.
