Drofa
Description
A simple hunting knife from Kizlar in a full tang construction. The blade is a clip point style with a partial hollow grind. Walnut handle scales form a rounded handle with flares at the ends to ensure a secure grip.
The blade features a hologram confirming it is an authentic Kizlar product, as well as the inscription: "Кизляр Сделано в России AUS8" and, on the other side, "Дрофа" and the manufacturer's logo. Both sides of the blade are decorated with an etching of a bird's head motif (the Russian word "дрофа" translates to Great Bustard, a species of large bird). The set includes a black leather sheath decorated with an embossed design.
The Kizlyar company from Dagestan is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. Kizlyar prides itself on combining the ancient traditions of Caucasian craftsmen specializing in blade making with modern production technologies.
