Dominus (PGK)
Description
A survival knife with a hidden tang design, made from German PGK steel. Durability, aggressive cutting, and excellent impact resistance at 62-63 HRC hardness – what more could you want from a survival knife? Requires a good whetstone – it won't sharpen on just any stone in the field. The TacWash blade finish prevents glare. The example in the attached photos has a black Cordura sheath with a plastic insert (can be carried with the handle down) and MOLLE straps. Currently in-stock knives have sheaths of the same type, but in camouflage.
Ergonomic handle made of Kraton (thermoplastic polymer rubber with high resistance to cracking and abrasion) provides a good grip even when wearing gloves.
The knife was designed by order of emergency services (МЧС).
The Dagestani company Kizlyar Supreme (not to be confused with Kizlyar, also from Dagestan) is one of several Russian knife manufacturers known widely outside of Russia. Kizlyar Supreme focuses on combining the old traditions of Caucasian knife makers with the latest production technologies. Kizlyar Supreme products are the result of the work of craftsmen who have been making knives for generations, except that today they have the most modern programmable machining centers and hardening furnaces.
