Dombay (pattern welded damascus, stabilized wood handle blue)

A hunting knife manufactured by Zlatoust, made of forged Damascus steel. Zlatoust Damascus steel is distinguished by its high quality and exceptional aesthetics. The handle is made of stabilized Karelian birch – one of the more expensive types of stabilized wood – and is finished with a ring on one side and a textolite pommel on the other. The pommel has a hole for attaching a lanyard or wrist strap. The lack of metal fittings and the thin blade make the knife as light as a feather. The bowie-type blade has a high concave grind. Under the handle, on the blade there is an inscription: "Росоружие Златоуст" and the manufacturer's logo. Leather sheath, black, embossed with the manufacturer's logo and inscription Златоуст.

Zlatoust is one of several Russian knife manufacturers known far beyond the borders of Russia. It boasts a centuries-old tradition in the production of edged weapons. The gold plating, in which Ural Zlatoust is the undisputed leader among Russian companies, looks exceptionally good on dark Damascus blades.
