Condor
Description
The Condor is a combat knife with an American tanto profile, featuring a robust blade designed for thrusting. It has a distinctive reinforcing fuller, a characteristic of Kizlar models (which in Russian carries the fitting name "rib of hardness"). The blade is blackened and made of AUS-8 steel with a hardness of 57-58 HRC. The civilian version of the Kondor (the "Condor-3", which is in our offer) has a slightly shorter and minimally thinner blade (the difference is less than a millimeter) and also lacks the tang extension on the edge side, which serves as a guard to prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade. It might not seem like much, but it's enough for the Condor to fall under the restricted items classification as a melee weapon in the Russian Federation: it is only available to military personnel, hunters, and officers of uniformed services, while the Condor-3 is sold without any restrictions. This is confirmed by the serial number located on the Condor's spine, below the guard. Upon purchase, the number is recorded in the military booklet or service ID. The blade also features the manufacturer's hologram and the inscription "Кизляр сделано в России" (Kizlyar made in Russia), and on the other side, "Кондор" (Condor) and the manufacturer's logo. The handle is made of Elastron, and it comes with a leather sheath that has a plastic insert and a silent fastening.
The Kizlyar company from Dagestan is one of a few Russian knife manufacturers that are widely known outside of Russia. Kizlyar prides itself on combining the old traditions of Caucasian craftsmen specializing in the creation of edged weapons with new production technologies.
