Commando MR6

A large military-style field knife from the K25 model line by the Spanish manufacturer Martinez Albainox. It features a bowie-style blade made of 7Cr17MoV stainless steel with a partial flat grind. As befits a military knife, the Commando MR6 has a fully functional crossguard. The handle, made of green G10 with a round cross-section, is finished with a flat-ended metal pommel. It comes with a very decent sheath made of beautifully treated black leather with decorative embossing and an attachment for carrying a fire starter, which is included with the knife.

The K25 brand belongs to the Spanish company Martinez Albainox, once one of the largest knife manufacturers in Spain. Today, Albainox still designs its own knives grouped into several registered model lines, but has moved almost all of its production to China. However, these are still branded products, which means there is someone to ensure their quality. In this arrangement, the place of production ceases to be a disadvantage and becomes an advantage, as it allows for an excellent price-to-quality ratio. Most Albainox knives are made from Chinese industrial steels, in this specific case from 7Cr17MoV, which can be an excellent steel, close in characteristics to D2, or worthless junk like in cheap no-name products from AliExpress.
