Combat AUS8 (black handle and sheath)
Description
A new military knife from Kizlar Supreme. This model is clearly based on the bestselling Vector knife, which is a direct descendant of Soviet combat knives from World War II. It differs from the Vector only in its slightly shorter blade (121 mm instead of 160 mm) and even greater thickness (6.1 mm instead of 5.7 mm). The rest of the design remains the same, including the straight blade with a parallel edge and spine, and the kraton handle with a hidden tang construction. Since its debut, the Combat has been released in various material and color options. This version features a blade made of AUS8 steel hardened to 58 HRC, with black handle and sheath. The blade has a TacWash finish.
The Dagestani company Kizlyar Supreme (not to be confused with Kizlyar, also from Dagestan) is one of the few Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. Kizlyar Supreme focuses on combining the long-standing traditions of Caucasian knifemakers with the latest production technologies. Kizlyar Supreme products are the result of work by craftsmen who have been making knives for generations. Today, however, they utilize the most modern programmable machining centers and hardening furnaces.
