Cheglok
Description
A hunting knife manufactured by AiR company from Zlatoust, made of 95X18 steel, a high-quality stainless steel, the Russian equivalent of 440C steel. In the production of knives from stainless steel, the quality of mechanical and thermal processing technology is no less important than the quality of the material itself. 95X18 is a material where this principle is manifested most fully. Prices of knives made of this steel can vary dramatically depending on the manufacturer. AiR is one of the oldest companies specializing in knife production in Zlatoust, a place known for its centuries-old tradition of blacksmithing, where Pavel Anosov experimented with bulat and damascus-type steels in the first half of XIX century. All knives are sold with sheaths and packaged in soft material cases.
Cheglok is relatively long knife with full flat grind, point of the blade elevated over the line of spine. Wooden handle with a lanyard hole, oiled but not stabilized in vacuum. Black leather sheath.
These knives are handmade pieces, sizes of the same profile blades may slightly differ.
