Carver D2
Description
A short, full-tang knife made of D2 steel, modeled after and essentially being a sloyd knife, which is a tool for wood carving. Its short blade is ideal for making precise cuts and removing small pieces of wood, and the knife itself is designed so that the carver's hand is close to the cutting edge, ensuring maximum control. The walnut handle, much longer than the blade, provides a comfortable grip and precise tool handling. It is an open question to what extent such a specialized knife can be useful in the field rather than in a craftsman's workshop. The smooth leather sheath features a snap button closure.
