Bear-2 (leather handle, gilding)
Description
This hunting knife is made of 95x18 steel. It is a high-quality stainless steel hardened to 56-58 HRC. The blade has an interesting profile: a straight spine, with a false edge ground down for two-thirds of its length from the tip. On the cutting edge side, the blade widens slightly but noticeably towards the tip, which provides excellent cutting performance when drawing the knife towards you. The belly is clearly defined, but the tip is not sharp and is not designed for thrusting. It features a high flat grind. On one side of the blade, above the grind line, there is a small fuller, and below it, the inscription: "Росоружие Златоуст" with the manufacturer's logo. The other side features a galvanically gilded drawing with hunting motifs. The steel marking, 95x18, is stamped at the very base of the blade.
The handle is made of leather rings threaded onto the tang, finished on both sides with black pieces of textolite – a pommel and a small guard. At the end of the handle, there is a hole for attaching a lanyard or a wrist loop. The sheath is made of smooth, black leather, embossed with the manufacturer's logo and the inscription Росоружие Златоуст. An aesthetic and at the same time very practical knife.
The Zlatoust company is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. It prides itself on a centuries-old tradition in the field of blade weapon production.
