Barracuda
Description
Universal full-tang knife made of D2 steel with a rosewood handle. The Barracuda is not a survival or bushcraft knife, but precisely a universal field knife - the kind you can use to slice and cut everything you need, as well as deliver thrusts. However, it cannot be used for chopping or as a crowbar. What is there to slice and cut in the field? Unless you are a saboteur on a deep reconnaissance mission, it will mostly be food. Occasionally, you might need to cut a cord. To that end, it wouldn't be a bad idea for such a knife to be easy to sharpen and somewhat corrosion-resistant. You won't be using it to fell trees, pry open doors, or fight an enemy in plate armor. And that is why the Barracuda is an excellent universal field knife: the blade features a full hollow grind that cuts well and is easy to sharpen, the sharp point allows you to pierce things, and the full-tang design provides an extra margin of durability. The rosewood handle is both practical and aesthetic. Plain leather sheath with a snap fastener closure.
