Description
A knife from the Caucasian everyday knives series with straight blades featuring traditional elements of various Caucasian nationalities. The blade is straight, with a full flat grind made of AUS8 steel. The bolster, pommel, and rings on the handle are made of brass. The handle wood is black hornbeam. Similar to Botlikh and Karachay knives, the round cross-section handle transitions into the blade without any guard. Therefore, all these knives have similar sheaths – slip-in, Finnish type, with wooden inserts. The leather on the sheaths is very thin, soft like in women's gloves, too delicate for a knife sheath. Generally, all Kizlyar knives based on traditional Caucasian designs are very carefully made, but they look like they are meant to be worn with national costumes on stage or at a reception, not in the field. At the baseof the blade is the manufacturer's logo, the inscription "KIZLYARСделано в России" and a hologram.
Kizlyar prides itself on combining the old traditions of Caucasian craftsmen specializing in the production of edged weapons and new production technologies.
