6H9S H12MF
Description
Civilian variant of a military combat knife with index 6H9 (Russian6х9) introduced into the equipment since 2014 as part of the Ratnik equipment complex. Even though the 6H9S is a knife that does not require a permit, it has a typical military ABS sheath with a MOLLE-compatible suspension system. Holes on the edges of the sheath allow them to be sewn (i.e. laced with a paracord) to backpacks, tactical vests, carrying systems, also in the handle-down position. The knife also has a military-style guard. A dagger blade, straight, with a partially flat grind and a partially ground spine on the tip (the latter is typical of Russian military knives and is intended for opening ammunition zincs). The knife is released in three material variants: 65G carbon steel (with black oxide for protection against corrosion), AUS6 stainless steel and H12MF steel, which is the Russian analogue of D2.
