Uzbek pchak small (pattern welded damascus)
Description
A shorter version of a damascus knife in the form of a traditional Uzbek pchak. Such knives have been made for hundreds of years (the first pchaks appeared at the end of the 14th - early 15th centuries) in the east of Uzbekistan, in the area of the city of Khust and in the Fergana Valley. Pchaks were not only an item of everyday use in the kitchen and hunting, but were also part of the traditional national costume. Their form has remained basically unchanged to this day. The profile of the blade of this model is called kajke, the tip of the knife is slightly upturned above the line of the head.
