Scorpio (black blade)
Description
A rather large field knife designed with survivalists in mind. It is clear that durability and resistance to overload were the most important for its designers. The Scorpion is quite versatile, the recurve blade with a wave-shaped cutting edge ensures high cutting aggression, and the point with a partially ground back allows for effective thrusts. The grind is low hollow because it provides a greater reserve of strength. As befits a survival knife, it is made of Spanish MV-58 stainless steel with a hardness of 58 HRC. The blade is engraved with the J&V Adventure Knives emblem (trade brand of the Cuchilleria Forester factory), the inscription "Scorpion 2.0" and the steel brand marking. Of course it is a full tang. Micarta handle covers. The tang has been profiled in such a way that it prevents the fingers from sliding onto the cutting edge during thrusts. The end of the tang sticks out from the covers, you can strike it or attach a leash or wrist loop (there is a piece of paracord in the box for this).
Forester is one of the few old Spanish manufacturers that has resisted pressure to move production to China. The knives are still not only designed but also manufactured in the Forester factory in Albacete, Spain.
