Łaska bystroryez (wood and leather handle)
Description
A knife from the "Bystroryez" series. The handle is made of two pieces of black wood (hornbeam) between which rings of black leather strung on a tang are clamped. The handle is finished with an ornamental melchior fitting on the blade side, and on the other side there is a screw with a hole allowing for attaching a wrist strap. The blade has a straight back and a partially concave grind. Under the handle, at the base of the blade, a manufacturer's monogram and the inscription: "ОКСКИЕ НОЖИ сталь Р12КОВАНАЯ". The knife belongs to the newer series of products made of R12 steel from this manufacturer. Previously, the iron oxide anti-corrosion coating was sandblasted. Currently, sandblasting has been abandoned, giving the blade a smoothed finish. In my opinion, such a blade is more aesthetically pleasing, but it's a matter of taste. The coating is also more durable. Blade hardness 65-67 HRC.
