Gent D2 carbon
Description
The Gent (short for gentleman) is a small folding knife designed in the spirit of classic suit knives, which were carried in the jacket pockets of men from the upper social classes. Such knives were modest in size, but their handles featured expensive materials like rare woods or bone. They were elegant everyday carry knives that, much like an expensive watch, completed the image of a gentleman. Unlike modern EDC folders, the emphasis was placed more on aesthetic appeal than on extreme resilience and durability. The Gent has no lock or clip, and the blade is not intended for opening cans or ammunition boxes. Until recently, our offer included two versions of the Gent: one with a 440C steel blade (59 HRC) and a more expensive one with a black titanium-coated D2 blade (61 HRC). Now, a new Gent with a D2 blade has been introduced, featuring handle scales made of carbon fiber. All versions are sold with a leather sheath that can be worn on a narrow belt (up to 4 cm wide) or even hung around the neck (requires a chain or thong, not included).
The Dagestani company Kizlyar Supreme (not to be confused with Kizlyar, also from Dagestan) is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. Kizlyar Supreme focuses on combining the old traditions of Caucasian knife makers with the latest production technologies. Kizlyar Supreme products are the result of the manual work of craftsmen who have been making knives for generations, except that today they have state-of-the-art programmable machining centers and hardening furnaces at their disposal.
