Gent (440C satin)
Description
A small folding knife in retro style. Gent (short for the wordgentleman) is in the spirit of classic suit knives (carried by men from higher social classes in their jacket pockets). Such knives had modest sizes, but expensive materials were used for the handles - rare wood or bone. These were elegant everyday knives that complemented the image of a gentleman, like an expensive watch. Unlike modern EDC folders, the emphasis was more on aesthetic appearance than on extreme resistance and durability. The Gent has no lock or clip, and the blade is not used to open canned food or ammunition boxes. The handle covers are made of cow bone. Our offer currently includes two Gent variants: with blades made of 440C steel (59HRC) and the more expensive D2 with black titanium coating (61HRC). They are sold with leather sheaths that can be worn on a narrow (up to 4 cm wide) strap or even hung around the neck (a chain or strap is required, which is not included in the set).
The Dagestan company Kizlyar Supreme (not to be confused with Kizlyar, also from Dagestan) is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside Russia. Kizlyar Supreme focuses on combining the old traditions of Caucasian knife manufacturers with the latest production technologies. Kizlar Supreme products are the result of the work of craftsmen who have been making knives for generations, but today they have the most modern programmable machining centers and hardening furnaces.
