Fang (D2)
Description
Biriukov's knife, formally belonging to the Smersh series, but maintained in an atypical East Asian spirit for this product line. I mean, Smershes always, more or less overtly, alluded to Russian military knives, and I haven't heard of knives with a curved blade that were in the armament of Russian (or rather Soviet) armed forces after 1918. The ricasso resembles Caucasian and Turkish bebut-type daggers, only in reasonable sizes. The blade is a trailing point (blade tip above the spine), partially concave grind, the spine on the tang is partially ground down. Fortunately, a flat double-sided guard was retained. We offer two variants of this knife, a cheaper one, made of U8 steel and with a black elastron handle, and a more expensive one, with D2 steel and an olive-colored handle. Both come with leather sheaths.
