Ataman (gilded pattern welded damascus, stabilized wood handle red)
Description
A large hunting knife manufactured by Zlatoust, made of gilded forged damascus steel. Zlatoust damascus is distinguished by its high quality and exceptional aesthetics. The handle is made of stabilized Karelian birch – one of the more expensive types of stabilized wood. The tektolite pommel has a hole for attaching a lanyard or wrist strap. The massive, trailing point blade with an upwardly curved point, similar to Uzbek pchaks, is decorated on one side with a gold-plated, galvanically applied design. On the other side, under the handle, the blade features a gold-plated inscription: "Rosoruzhie Zlatooust" and the manufacturer's logo. Partially concave grind. Black leather sheath with the manufacturer's logo and inscription embossed on the back:Zlatooust.
Zlatooust is one of several Russian knife manufacturers widely known outside of Russia. It boasts a centuries-old tradition in the production of edged weapons. The gold plating, in which Ural Zlatooust is the undisputed leader among Russian companies, looks exceptionally good on dark Damascus blades.
