Basmach U8
Description
Designed by the company founder Igor Skrylov, a full tang field knife based on a Central Asian pchak. Basmach is essentially a simplified, strengthened (blade thickness at the butt 4 mm) and "Russified" pchak, devoid of Eastern ornamentation. The wavy cutting edge – unusual for pchaks, but improves cutting. Partially concave grind – same thing, but try to break such a blade. Tang scales are fastened with screws, round cross-section, with expansion at the end, which improves grip, even with gloves. There is a hole at the end of the tang for a lanyard or wrist strap. Leather sheath, push-in type, Finnish style. The knife is well-balanced, sits well in the hand, and if someone likes this blade profile, they will be satisfied. But not a single gram of sadaf – a true basmach would be offended.
