PGK is a German steel produced by the Lohmann steelworks, valued primarily for its outstanding toughness. It features an aggressive bite, excellent wear resistance, and high durability even when hardened to 61-64 HRC. It offers some corrosion resistance (8.5% chromium) but is not completely stainless, requiring minimal maintenance. Among premium steels, it stands out for its excellent price-to-performance ratio.
