This category features heavy machetes, as well as axes, tomahawks, and tactical shovels. The presence of the latter might seem surprising. My only explanation for this is that originally 90% of the products in the store were Russian, and a Russian military shovel is not just an entrenching tool. In the Russian army since World War II, when Shpagin and Sudayev submachine guns were introduced into service without any bayonet mounts, the entrenching tool became another type of bladed weapon. To this day, they are sharpened, and paratroopers learn to throw them just like knives.
