Buran cleaver
Description
The only cleaver (referred to as a hatchet by the manufacturer) in the Kizlyar product line.
A cleaver with a rubber handle made from 65G steel, a popular spring steel. It is a carbon steel for industrial use that has been produced for a long time, and consequently, has a well-mastered heat treatment technology. It is highly resistant to abrasion, with good hardness (the Buran is hardened to a range of 55-56 HRC). Despite containing 0.25 chromium, it is a carbon steel and is subject to corrosion. For this reason, the cleaver has a black oxide finish and is additionally coated with grease. Handle made of Elastron. A leather blade cover with a belt loop is included.
Apart from quartering meat, it can successfully be used as a light axe.
