M390 represents a new generation of steel from the Bohler corporation, manufactured using advanced powder metallurgy technology. This steel offers an optimal balance between wear resistance and corrosion resistance, making it an ideal material for knife making. It is characterized by a high chromium content (20% - significantly more than S390) and carbon content (1.9%). Other alloying elements include molybdenum (1%), vanadium (4%), tungsten (0.6%), and cobalt.
