Sleipner is a semi-stainless tool steel produced by the Swedish steelworks, Uddeholm. In terms of characteristics, it is similar to the popular D2 steel, which is well-liked by knifemakers. However, Sleipner surpasses it in toughness at a comparable hardness (61-63 HRC).
