Description
Contoured scales made from natural white camel bone, measuring 131 x 40 x 5 mm (at the thickest point). The convex side of the bone pieces is jigged with grooved patterns. The underside is roughly, but not perfectly, flat, so a flexible spacer is required between the knife tang and the bone itself. Jigged scales, even if not the largest, have the advantage of providing a more secure grip than smooth scales, both with a bare hand and in a glove, in addition to their aesthetic value.
