pattern-welded damascus: Page
Description
Blade made of so-called pattern-welded Damascus steel. Such blades are created by repeatedly forge-welding a billet of steels with varying carbon content. This process results in blades with a characteristic pattern. They are not corrosion-resistant. This blade comes from Lahore in Punjab (Pakistan). It is designed for a small, double-edged dagger with a symmetrical grind. The handle will have to be a push-tang installation using glue - the tang is thin enough that drilling holes for bolts is not quite feasible. Forged, sharpened, 58-61 HRC.
