mosaic damascus: Tanto
Description
Mosaic blade, forged, from a carbon steel pack (M76T, ШХ15, 50А) with nickel added. The unique pattern is obtained by forging the pack with nickel strips between the pack components. This is a very laborious technology requiring the highest blacksmithing skills, allowing to obtain blades with very high performance parameters (blade hardness on the edge 58-60 HRC) and completely unique aesthetic values.
In this blade, the forged mosaic is applied in two layers to a carbon steel core, as in a laminate. This is visible when looking from the back (last photo).
Blade in raw state (unsharpened). Partially concave grind.
