Taidea sharpening stone (180/600)
Description
Double-sided corundum stone with low grit: one side 180, the other 600. The whole thing on a base providing good grip to the table.
How to use water stones:
Before use, soak the stones in water for about 15 minutes. The stone is properly soaked if, after pouring water, it does not absorb immediately but remains on the surface of the stone.
Sharpen the knife by moving it across the surface of the stone "away from you". If you lack experience, it is worth using a special guide to maintain a constant sharpening angle, as shown in the attached picture (the guide is available separately, it is not sold with the stone).
Use the entire surface of the stone to avoid uneven wear, pouring water over the stone from time to time. The stone must be kept wet at all times.
After sharpening, even out the surface of the stone with a diamond plate or a stone with a much lower grit.
