Spetsnaz skull
Description
Morale patch type. These types of patches are not official military unit insignias. They are sometimes worn by soldiers – in rare cases even by elite units – but are much more commonly found on the gear of military enthusiasts and airsoft players as a team identifier or a way to highlight individual character.
The symbolism is quite clear:
- The Beret – in many armies it is the headgear of light front-line infantry units such as airborne or marines; it is less common in heavy mechanized units.
- The Skull – represents the readiness to make the ultimate sacrifice.
- The Knife – much like other close-quarters weapons (axes, swords, or rifles with bayonets), it is a frequent military symbol signifying readiness for hand-to-hand combat.
The patch features a hook-and-loop backing and is sold with a matching velcro loop panel. It is a high-quality embroidery (not a print) on canvas.
