RJ04 Plate Carrier Tactical Vest - black
Description
This is a plate carrier type tactical vest designed to hold two ballistic inserts, featuring a front pocket for two magazines and MOLLE system webbing for attaching additional pouches or pockets for ammunition or other equipment. The front plate cover also has a 15 x 7 cm velcro panel. The plate carrier is made of 600D polyester. Size adjustment is based on velcro straps and elastic cords. The manufacturer has placed rigid foam inserts in the ballistic plate pockets. The last of the included photos shows the insert with dimensions in millimeters.
Overall, this is a lightweight assault vest for small ballistic plates that protect the upper torso, both front and back. It does not have side plates. There is also no option to attach pouches on the sides. The vest is doffed by detaching the side straps, which are attached to the front velcro panel. It does not have a so-called quick-release system that could be operated with a single strong pull. The vest represents a compromise between ballistic protection and the mobility required for offensive operations at close quarters in urban terrain, following the methodology of Wagner assault groups. In this doctrine, operators aim to cross fire-swept areas between buildings as quickly as possible, engaging the enemy from a stance where the entire torso faces the threat. This method of firing, unlike the "archer's stance" where an operator turns sideways to shoot, increases the target's profile visible to the enemy. However, in close-quarters firefights at minimal distances of 15-20 meters, this is of little consequence. Instead, it helps to avoid exposing the unprotected sides to enemy fire.
The vest is manufactured by Fronter, a Chinese company specializing in the production of tactical clothing and outdoor equipment. After the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Fronter began fulfilling orders for the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.
