Operators Jolly Roger
Description
A morale patch type. These types of patches are not official military unit insignias. They are occasionally worn by soldiers – in rare cases even by elite units – but are much more commonly found on the gear of military enthusiasts and airsoft players as a team identifier or a way to highlight individual character.
The symbolism is quite clear: a modern interpretation of the pirate Jolly Roger, featuring a skull "wearing" a contemporary FAST-type ballistic helmet, with crossed sabers instead of crossbones. The motif of close-quarters weapons, such as axes, swords, knives, sabers, or rifles with bayonets, is a frequent military symbol signifying courage and readiness for hand-to-hand combat.
