Description
An original Russian OMON helmet used for dispersing street demonstrations. OMON consists of detached, fully militarized Russian police units equipped with heavy weaponry and trained for crowd control tactics, including suppressing demonstrations and street riots. The helmet is in unissued surplus condition – new and unused. This helmet is designed for urban operations against demonstrators, i.e., civilians. It provides protection against rocks and baton strikes. It is not a ballistic helmet.
