Mukhoboyka (cordura)
Description
"Mukhoboyka" (rus. "Мухобойка" - fly-killer) is a fairly popular in Russia short blunt truncheon with soft walls made of corduroy or, in a more expensive version, leather. The end of the "Mukhoboyka" is fastened with a snap on a pouch filled with lead shot. It is struck like a saber blade, i.e. flatly. It's not possible to kill someone with it, nor can you cause permanent body damage, but you can knock someone out with a good hit. It is roughly equivalent to a sock filled with gravel. The advantage of the Mukhoboyka is that, while a sock filled with gravel is clearly considered a dangerous object in the light of criminal code, the Mukhoboyka is not. There are no sharp edges and the lead shot in the pouch at the end can be replaced with small coins (Russian kopeks are heavier than Polish zlotys) and then you have a rather extravagant wallet for cash.
