Machete 2 (U8 steel)
Description
A heavy machete with a wooden handle. Its blade profile is closer to Soviet military machetes than to the numerous clones of Igor Skrylov's "Taiga". Like other tools of this type, it is designed for chopping, cutting, sawing, and in extreme cases, even digging. Similar to the manufacturer's "Machete 1" model, it features a full tang construction with wenge wood handle scales. The blade is made of U8 steel, which is harder than 440 steel but not corrosion-resistant. Therefore, it is important to wipe the blade dry after use, and after returning from the field, it should be thoroughly cleaned and coated with oil. The handle has a lanyard hole, a feature that the "Taiga" lacks. Like all IP Siomin products, the knife comes with a very aesthetic leather sheath with decorative embossing.
