Machete 2 (U8 steel, elastron handle)
Description
A heavy machete with an elastron handle in a leather sheath. This is a variant of Machete 2 with a tang cast in elastron. The blade shape is closer to Soviet military machetes than to the numerous "Taiga" clones by Igor Skrylov. Like other tools of this type, it is intended for chopping, cutting, sawing, and in extreme cases, even digging. The blade is made of U8 steel, harder than 440 but not corrosion-resistant. Therefore, remember to wipe the knife after use, and after returning from a field trip, it should be thoroughly cleaned and oiled. The handle has a hole for a wrist strap. The sheath is leather, but smooth, without decorative embossing.
