Goliath axe
Description
A forged, double-bitted axe on a long handle made of ash wood. The blade is made of steel with chromium as an alloying additive, but at a level that does not guarantee stainlessness, so it requires maintenance. The cutting edge hardness is 56-58 HRC. A large part of the surface, except for the grind line and the poll, has been left with a rough finish. The 61 cm long handle is made of hard ash wood, wrapped with black leather straps for an improved grip. The axe is sold with a fastened leather sheath featuring an embossed pattern and a large belt loop on the back. The axe weighs over one and a half kilos, so it is more of a ceremonial weapon (as there is little doubt it is a weapon), and it simply cannot be operated with one hand.
