D2: Yakut 2
Description
Forged blade for a Yakut knife made of D2 steel by Leonid Vasiliev. Yakut knives repeat the form of historical knives, originally made from split animal bones. Therefore, one side of the blade, the one without a groove, is slightly convex, and the other has a quite deep groove, which stiffens the blade and saves material and reduces weight. There are forging marks left on the groove and part of the blade on the other side. Rockwell hardness 62 HRC.
