Description
9XC tool steel blade with forging marks.
9XC (according to Russian steel nomenclature) is a tool steel with added chromium and silicon. Very hard, hardened to 60-61 HRC, used for the production of cutting elements, drills, punches, etc. And of course, high-quality knives. The blades are forged, the part of the blade above the grinding line is left unpolished, with forging marks. The blade comes from the forge of Andrei Prikazchikov, one of the best blacksmiths from the Pavlovo-Posad region - the Novgorod "knife-makers" center. The blade is in raw state - unsharpened.
